After rescuing the (Earl) Grey whale, Latte Girl began pining for her old stomping grounds, the center of the coffee universe, the Pacific Northwest. So, Latte Girl hopped on the nearest steam train and headed for Seattle. And none too soon it steams, or seems.
A coffee crisis was a brewin'.
"Latte girl, we're having so many earthquakes that we can't drink our coffee. It just spills everywhere and shorts out our hard drives," cried the high-tech computer programmers.
"I don't think the problem is with the Juan de Fuca Plate. Here, try a little decaf," she replied as she passed around steaming beverages in reusable, non-spill mugs made from post-consumer recycled content.
Two Hours Latte:
"Thanks, Latte Girl! You saved our hard drives!"
"No problem. See you Latte!"

Latte Girl Saves the Whale(s) Part 2
I arrived at the Bay with an assortment of refreshing beverages for the Marine Biologists and Coast Guard officials. “Thanks, Latte Girl.”
“Let’s take a moment to sip and ponder the situation,” I suggested. (Reader – this may be a good time to enjoy your own beverage).
I asked a Marine Biologist, “Why is the Grey Whale here?” And because this is not a highly scientific paper, I will summarize. “He was traveling to Alaska and took a wrong turn.”
“Hmm.” I pondered some more as I sipped my tea (yes, Latte Girl drinks all sorts of beverages). That was it! (Do you see where I’m going here?) Brilliant! Then, with fantastic multi-agency (Marine Biologists, Coast Guard and the nearest beverage retailer) coordination, we fashioned an enormous tea bag to the back of a Coast Guard Cutter and lured the Grey whale out of the bay to continue on its Northward Journey. Tea. Earl Grey. Of course.

Latte Girl Saves the Whales
I wasn't expecting much adventure today following my harrowing day yesterday, but when I heard that there was a grey whale lingering in San Diego Bay, I knew it was time to strap on my latte cuffs and see what I could do.
